Our Research
At the Northeastern University University Brain Game Center, we strive to improve your brain’s fitness. We research, test, and disseminate evidence-based, scientifically optimized brain fitness games that assist you in real life with memory, vision, hearing, learning, and more. We have a track record of making our tested procedures publicly available so that our innovations help our community and the world.
Cognitive Training Projects
Our projects encompass a broad spectrum of cognitive training, targeting basic skills like attention and memory across diverse populations with goals ranging from rehabilitating cognitive abilities, to enhancing cognition for superior performance.
Perceptual Training Projects
At the Brain Game Center, we conduct various studies aimed at enhancing perceptual function by using software designed to train the brain in processing sensory information from the eyes and ears more effectively.
Measuring Cognition and Perception
In our pursuit to train cognitive and perceptual abilities, we also create tools to comprehend individual cognitive and perceptual needs.
Improving and Sharing Research Tools
We are committed to open science and tool sharing. In addition to making our software freely available, we also develop open-source tools and have projects specifically dedicated to tool sharing.
